Beautiful herb hay from natural grassland border Germany/France. Harvest June 2019. Cut of this year 2020 will be delayed because of the long drought. We hope to hay in July --> This hay will go on sale after a few weeks of drying. This will be from September at the earliest.
May be eaten by rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas, small rodents, horses, turtles,....
This hay is first cut and is natural (in the field) dried.
Contains different kinds of grasses, weeds, herbs, leaves and flowers.
Our herbal hay is of naturaly stored at Happy rabbits so it keeps its freshness and taste.
Every year we do our utmost to select beautiful grasslands for a good harvest. Every grassland is of course different and every year is different. That is why there is always a great variety in the hay. This ensures a natural and healthy variety. This year there has been little rain so the grass was shorter than usual.
Example this cut is the same grassland we had the grove herbal hay from Happy Rabbits in 2018. This year it is a normal structure of hay and has more flowers than 2018.
This hay now has a normal structure (not fine / not gross) which allows rabbits and rodents to gnaw on it and ensures a good abrasion of the teeth.
Arrival hay: If you ordered hay from us in a jutte bag, you can keep the hay in this bag. If you ordered hay in a plastic bag, we ask you to open it as soon as possible upon arrival of your order and store the hay somewhere else.
Storage of hay: Preferably store your hay in a dark place, in a not too warm environment. This may also be outside under the condition that there is no sun and no moisture. Please NEVER store the hay in a plastic package which will greatly reduce the quality of the hay. A carton box or an open container is allowed.
Because we also think about the environment we are busy packing the hay less in plastic but more in jute and carton bags. So it can be if you indicate plastic you will get a carton packaging --> We are still in a transition/test phase with this packaging.
