Why do we need your data?

We need your data to be able to fulfil the agreements between you and Happy rabbits and Friends. This is the case with:

  1. Placing an order both on our web shop ( www.happyrabbitsandfriends.be), and by email ([email protected]).
  2. Buying a product at one of our events
  3. The delivery of your order
  4. The personal contact with us: for a question, an appointment, damage, return
  5. You are a business contact of ours

It is also possible that Happy rabbits uses your data for other purposes, always with the intent to give you the best possible personal service.

By this we mean:

  1. Your visit to our website
  2. Newsletters, you will only receive these if you are subscribed to them
  3. Social media
  4. Personal advice

Everything we know about you is kept safe. Happy rabbits will only pass on your details to other parties if this is really necessary for our services. By other parties we mean the following:

  1. Our payment partners: Mollie, PayPal, AxaBank and ING
  2. Our delivery service that delivers your order: Bpost, DpD, another external delivery service
  3. Our IT helpers, in case you have problems with your account, these people can solve it for you
  4. Lightspeed: the system on which Happy rabbits runs and on which your data is stored

Under no circumstances will we pass on or sell your data to parties that have nothing to do with our services. In case we suspect fraud, we will comply with our reporting obligation.

Where do we store your data?

Your data is stored in our back office. This system runs on Lightspeed. They do, just like Happy rabbits, always the necessary to fully protect your Privacy. The Hosting of Happy rabbits is Transip. They also do everything that is necessary to secure your Privacy. The servers of both parties are located in Amsterdam.

Your mailing details are stored in our mailboxes.

We also use an external customer database, on which we keep your data.

How long do we keep your data?

Happy rabbits does not keep your data longer than necessary. What does this mean in practice?

For the tax authorities, we are obliged to keep your data, such as orders, invoices, payments, credit notes and returns for 7 years.

If you are subscribed to our newsletter, we will keep this information for 3 years. After these 3 years, we will ask you to subscribe again. 

Customer accounts that are no longer being used will be deleted after 5 years.

What are your rights?

You can always ask us what information we have about you and get access to it. You can do this by sending an email to [email protected]. We may ask for an additional confirmation of your identity, because we want to make sure that it is you and not someone else.

You can, at any time, change your details in your account as well as unsubscribe from our newsletter.
